Kingstone Comics adapts the Nativity Story in The Christ: Volume 1 - The Incarnation . Broken into two parts, the first follows Mary and Joseph as they journey to Bethlehem for the census; and in the second a group of magi study a celestial event and decide to track it, believing it’s heralding the birth of a king. Author Ben Avery does a good job at structuring the story and at translating the Gospel accounts (providing verse references in the footnotes). The artwork is also quite good (at least in Mary and Joseph section); featuring rich uses of color and texture. The Christ: Volume 1 - The Incarnation presents a compelling new vision of this immortal tale.

What a great version of the story of Christ's birth. Kids should love it. It might even interest a young Sheldon. What a great version of the story of Christ's birth. Kids should love it. It might even interest a young Sheldon.

So moving. So amazing, in so many ways. This volume was definitely a Kingstone achievement, if you ask me. Whether you know the Lord Jesus Christ or not, this book would help you learn more of Him, or see a new angle to look at Him (or events of the Bible's New Testament). So fascinating. The art was brilliantly crafted--it reminds me a lot of artwork from the nineties. Again, I couldn't be more impressed lol. So moving. So amazing, in so many ways.
