    I have several detox/healthy living books from Natalia Rose and I like the emphasis on fresh, healthy recipes in this one. The first part of the book is a resource for dietary information on nutrition and how to eat and combine food for optimal energy, weight loss, and satisfaction. There is a lengthy section on setting up your kitchen and pantry for healthy cooking and eating that would be especially good for a newbie to a healthy lifestyle. The remaining 1/2+ of the book are the recipes. Where I have several detox/healthy living books from Natalia Rose and I like the emphasis on fresh, healthy recipes in this one. The first part of the book is a resource for dietary information on nutrition and how to eat and combine food for optimal energy, weight loss, and satisfaction. There is a lengthy section on setting up your kitchen and pantry for healthy cooking and eating that would be especially good for a newbie to a healthy lifestyle. The remaining 1/2+ of the book are the recipes. Where Rose's previous books have been directed toward a mostly vegan-raw way of eating, this one offers up both raw and cooked dishes and includes nine fish recipes, limited whole grains and even some occasional cheese--which I like because that is essentially the way I eat. There is some good diversity to the recipes (created by co-author and chef Doris Choi) and they are fairly straight-forward--although some require the 'special' tools of this lifestyle--high-speed blender, spiralizer, mandoline, food processor, juicer, etc. And of course there are some ingredients that may be unfamiliar to newer whole and living food cooks. About the norm for this type of book and covered in the kitchen and pantry set-up sections. So far I have just tried the Kabocha Squash Ice Cream (yum!) recipe here: http://kahakaikitchen.blogspot.com/20... But, I am looking forward to trying the cauliflower "rice" and the pizza crusts made from it soon. 3.5 stars overall

    This is the BEST cookbook I have ever owned! Most cookbooks I find I only may make 2-3 recipes, if even. However, this is one book where you WILL WANT to make everything. I have sampled more than half the recipes in the book and they are real winners. On top of that, there is amazing info by Natalia Rose in the front of the book. I recommend this book to all my clients. Everyone that has purchased it comes in raving about it next time they see me. Cauliflower Pizza is a big winner with my Mom Cli This is the BEST cookbook I have ever owned! Most cookbooks I find I only may make 2-3 recipes, if even.     Maybe someday I'll get to the point where these recipes look delicious to me, but I'm still not ready to "enjoy" so many raw vegetables. I do want to try some of the sauces and dressings though.     I absolutely loved this book & all the great recipes . I like the better options they sugest for foods I've been eating & also what foods shouldn't be combined ! I have been using this book plus The Raw Food Detox by Natalia Rose with great success so far ! I've been drinking a juice recipe called V-12 from this book In the morning & throughout the day follow some of her other recipes for lunch dinner & snacks. So far I have lost 8 lbs in under a week !!! Very happy I absolutely loved this book & all the great recipes . I like the better options they sugest for foods I've been eating & also what foods shouldn't be combined ! I have been using this book plus The Raw Food Detox by Natalia Rose with great success so far !     There is a lot of information in the intro. Like A LOT. It was overwhelming at times. This book doesn't have many pictures and I personally prefer pictures to go with the recipes.
