Dhruva's creator gave him the ability to talk to animals and birds, great agility, skill in martial arts, a very sharp brain and the strongest willpower among humans, enabling him to combat several powerful super-villains, including Grand Master Robo, Chandakaal, Mahamanav, Dhwaniraaj, Chumba, Bauna Vaman etc. He can even talk to Dolphins. Super commando Dhruva became an instant hit among comics readers, young and old, soon after appearing in the comics arena. In a world clogged with conventional super-heroes with dark back-grounds, aliases, and super-powers, he appeared as a breeze of fresh air.
