Not so many know about the beginning of this man, Archbishop Benson Idahosa. However, the life of Archbishop Benson Idahosa buttress the saying; BEHIND EVERY GREAT GLORY, THERE IS OFTEN AN INDELIBLE STORY TO TELL. When Benson was still a baby, his father John, on several occasions called him a cursed child because of his numerous fainting spells. John’s words to Benson’s mother were, ‘the next time he faints, you put him on the rubbish heap and leave him there. I am tired of your calling me home fr Not so many know about the beginning of this man, Archbishop Benson Idahosa. However, the life of Archbishop Benson Idahosa buttress the saying; BEHIND EVERY GREAT GLORY, THERE IS OFTEN AN INDELIBLE STORY TO TELL. Surprisingly, Benson was dumped into the rubbish heap and was left there for about 3 hours. But for his mother’s great affection, his assignment on earth would have been aborted abruptly. The mother once said, ‘‘I don’t know what it is but this son (referring to Benson) seems special somehow- he is different from the others.’’ ‘‘Fire in His Bones’’ is a fascinating story about this pioneer of legacies, Archbishop Benson Idahosa. A must read indeed! His life stands out as a fitting example of Christian leadership, sacrifice, and devotion.
