A neat guide to have knowledge of the initial structure of comics, coming along with case studies full of helpful references. The formation of the book is mainly divided into five chapters: form, content, production, context and reception. Highly recommended for those who approach comics from an analytical aspect.

This is a useful overview of methodologies that can be used in studying comics, and a book that works quite well in the classroom. I would have liked to see more careful copy-editing, since there were some bad typos and misspellings, including in names of authors being cited, which can lead to confusion.

A fantastic book which I have been wanting to see for years of reading comics. Its template for analysis works well with the examples given and opens up the layman to thinking about how comics work
