The big bad gargoyle suffers from really low self-esteem, he is constantly (and I do mean constantly) berating himself for putting his mates in danger and hitting himself in the head. As always they need to mate and mate and mate and then there are some bad guys and some escaping the bad guys and all in all cute easy and typical for this series read.

Its like she copies her sex scenes into her new books and just changes the names and rewrites the story around her same used sex scenes. Boring

This was another cute story. There's a lot of humor in this series in the way the strangest combinations of shifters are picked, and in the totally unlikely behavior of the council of Elders. I really hope they're going to get their own at some point - soon! Anyway, back to the story itself. Here we have a shifter who changes into a house cat. Fletcher seems to be about as harmless as a kitty - until he shows his claws in defense of his mates. While he was the physically 'small' partner (including some pretty bratty behavior), he manages to hold his own in other ways. Caspian, a pegasus shifter, is outwardly the strong warrior type, but he really just wants a mate - exactly like Fletcher. Fletcher falls for him easily - and who wouldn't? He's a big softie. The third one in the group, Shade the gargoyle, is a tortured soul. He adds some adventure and danger to the story, just due to who he is. I hated the way he put himself down but there is a god explanation for it - and one that I think might return in later stories. While the problem is solved for these three mates, I suspect we will hear more of this issue. If you like unusual shifters, hilarious combinations of different personalities and don't mind some cloak and dagger adventure added into the mix, you will probably like this book.

This is book seven in the Midnight Matings series were the elders of the paranormal world were called together given a potion and a spell cast that each shifter that drank the champagne had 24 hours to find a mate not in their own species. Shade was a shifter enforcer who was not suppose to take a mate or two he didn't realize that his little mate Fletcher who was a kitten shifter or house cat should I say. Caspian who is a gargoyle and Shade was a Pegasus. This book was not as funny as book 2 in this series. This book had more action with people trying to kill them. This was my first time reading this author this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

This was another fun and sexy read with a somewhat unusual grouping of mates. A regular house cat, a Pegasus and a gargoyle. I love how creative the author is in these pairings. Fletcher, Caspian and Shade had a pretty tough time of it due to Shade's "employer" and it took all of their combined trust and love to extricate from the mess. I enjoyed it immensely and want more stories!

Meh. First, Caspian was like a third wheel. This book would have been better with just two mates. I liked Fletcher but that was about it. While I understood that Shade had been alone for thousands of years and that's why he acted like he did after awhile it got old. While it wasn't instalove they all became so attached and protective of each other so fast it was kinda weird. It would have been understandable if they were destined mates but under the forced circumstances it didn't make sense. Whi Meh. First, Caspian was like a third wheel. Luckily it did seem shorter than the others. Not sure if I'll read more of this series or not.

Three guys meet and start fighting the world together. Nobody starts to care so fast and so completely about strangers (the only reason could be fated mates and this is not the case) I'm sure no melodrama can even compare to the emotional level of this book. It really should be toned down a little. Get a little real. Just a little. The little (and big) things: Sure a little kitty is a perfect help in a fight. He can give scratches. Deadly weapon :D Run and hide. Save someone from being mated unwillingly by mating him yourself without any consent. Wait a minute. Something is wrong here. It's like saving someone from being beaten and beating him yourself. 6 thousand old assassin in hiding forgets to get rid of the mobile phone. How stupid is that? How stupid is he? How anyone can be so stupid... And everyone is so overprotective they turn stupid. Choosing stupid things just because of a very very little chance that it might hurt their mate if they choose the smart option. Sure instead of doing everything according to rules and living happily together, do it against the rules, go in hiding and risk your and your mates lives. I'm pretty sure this is more dangerous to mates. So Shade is the most stupid old guy ever. I can't repeat word stupid enough to say how stupid he is :D. About series: The requirement to have sex every 24 hours is completely stupid. Like you can't have even a couple days trip without your mate/mates. It's just over the top. Sorry for the all the "stupid", but I don't even feel like I over used it for this book.

A great addition to the series. I loved Fletcher, Caspian and Shade from the start and picking a house cat, gargoyle and Pegasus was totally unexpected...but I loved it. Anyone else starting to get a bit bored with the plot of the midnight mating series? Two (or three) unwilling creatures mate, they go home and get used to each other, but one has a dark past and ultimately, someone (usually an ex or jealous suitor, though in this story's case a shady hitman-type company) kidnaps, tries to kill or come between the main characters. It's starting to get a little old now.

I didn't care for this book. There was some parts that were okay but a whole bunch of it that wasn't. I normally really like this author, but I can't get into any of her books that are part of the midnight mating. This could be just me though.

I just had a break from this series. I have been reading this nonstop since the beginning of the week. I like that some of the stories have elements of the other books; I laughed so hard when Milo said something like "Is that a bunny?" (...) It sure as hell looked like a bunny. Pausing and tilting his head to the side, Milo was surprised when something went shooting across the floor and right between his legs. “And was that a fucking penguin? The third in this triad, Fletcher, was the usual cheeky bottom. Altogether, I did not dislike any of them, although Shade’s psychosis or whatever kinda made things… wobbly. Anyway. Once again, what’s with thinking you’ll protect your mates with your own life, right after all of you were explicitly told that if one dies, the others do too? I hate that crap. And also. Sigh. People need to stop making characters ridiculously old. It usually does not mesh with history at all. In this book? Take a zero away at the end of everyone’s age and it’d have worked out a lot better. Bah. Oh well. Maybe I feel a little removed from it now because I almost finished it this morning and only bothered with the last two pages or so now. >.>; I suppose that’s telling in itself.

It's so cool that there's an english fantasy book written with the lore that surrounds my country's beliefs. I'm Filipino and has been born and bred in the Philippines. The series is getting better with each book published. The main characters are somewhat damaged but lovable. This story gives a little more insight in the UPAC and the more sinister aspects of those who rid the world of the rogue elements. I loved the difference of the species in this installment of the series. You got a myth, a legend and well, for lack of a better word, a common. Ms Evans did an amazing job blending it all together.

I totally enjoyed this one, yeah there is the used plot and so on... but... I found that when she swapped the POV it worked, normally it does not and that made me enjoy it. To be honest this series is very simple, but some of the stories are pretty good, it does what the label says... entertain me and let me relax for a few hours, sure there where grammar stuff as usual, not as much as the previews books, but I like Ms Evans writing, its simple and makes sense!

I'm skipping this one. I usually feel the need to read all of the books in a series including the awful menage ones--even if I liked menage, these are so ridiculously silly--but this series has almost no overlap with other characters. So I'm going to hope for the best and just skip this one. If anyone out there knows a reason why I need to read this in order to understand something else in the series, let me know. Otherwise, thank the stars I can move on.

So a house cat, a gargoyle and a Pegasus walk into a castle... They become one mating bond. All these guys want us somebody to love them. But of course evil is a prey. OK, I'll admit it's trashy romance. But sometimes you need a little mind candy. I did enjoy it, but I'm not sure I'll read it again anytime soon. There's a huge amount of sex in the book, and I'm more kind of a Jane Austen person. Other than that, though, it was a good book for its type.

This one was just OK for me. It's starting to be the same ol', same ol' with this series and the characters and what they bring to the relationship.
